The Table at Emmaus

There are moments when doubt overshadows hope, when confusion clouds faith. On the road to Emmaus, Jesus meets two disciples who are quietly walking away from Jerusalem. Hope is growing dim as their expectations seem to have been set in the wrong direction. As they sit down for a meal, hope is restored, and their eyes are opened in the breaking of bread. The resurrected Messiah is revealed through the Scriptures and through a shared meal.
