What is biblical faith? As we begin a new series, “Beyond the Waves,” we will explore what faith is through the Scriptures. In today’s lesson, we look at Hebrews 11 and discover that biblical faith is more than a mental understanding. Biblical faith is more than acknowledging certain facts about God. Biblical faith is movement.

Before John ever shows us what Jesus does, he wants us to recognize who Jesus is. John is not writing a biography in the modern sense. He is writing a theological Gospel. His concern is not simply that we admire Jesus, but that we recognize Him for who He truly is.
