Why do we still struggle with sin even after coming to Christ?

In our series Discovering Life, we continue our journey through Romans by exploring one of the most challenging passages in Paul's letter: Romans 7. If baptism marks our freedom from the old master of sin, why do we still find ourselves battling old habits, old patterns, and old ways of thinking?

Looking at the story of Israel's Exodus from Egypt, we'll discover how Paul uses Israel's experience at Mount Sinai to reveal a deeper problem. The Law could reveal God’s ways, but it could not provide the power to walk it. What Israel ultimately needed was not more instruction, but rescue.

From Romans 7, we see the Law is good. But it’s Jesus who rescues and who provides the Spirit as a guide.

Part of our series from Romans, Discovering Life. Join us each Sunday morning at 10.
