Counted Free | Romans 6:1–14
Paul opens Romans 6 with a question: if grace covers sin, should we just keep sinning? His answer is direct. We are not people who simply try harder to behave differently. We are people who have died — and been raised to an entirely new kind of life.
Through the rich image of baptism, Paul shows us that the moment we are united with Christ, we entered His death and resurrection. The old master no longer has a claim on us. We are dead to sin and alive to God.
Christians are not who they used to be. We serve a New King, not an old master.
