Waiting is rarely easy, especially when what we’re waiting for holds great importance—a wedding day, the arrival of a child, or a new job. In those moments, we prepare with anticipation, but the uncertainty of timing can create tension. As followers of Jesus, we live in the “already but not yet” tension of God’s Kingdom. The Messiah has come, and His Kingdom is here, but we still await its fullness. How do we remain ready without losing sight of today?
